I thought I would document this here as I had trouble finding the information when reviving the Beeb Speak boards. They contained a capacitor with a now defunct colour coding system. Here it is:

Right hand lead is positive when viewed from the spot side

  Digits Multiplier Working
Voltage
Black 0 x 1 µF 10
Brown 1 x 10 µF --
Red 2 x 100 µF --
Orange 3 --- --
Yellow 4 --- 63
Green 5 --- 16
Blue 6 --- 20
Violet 7 --- --

White 9 x 0.1 µF 3
